2a. Information Stored Only in Your Browser (Local Storage)

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers:

• Your onboarding answers (wife name, personality style, pet names, etc.)
• Your chat message history
• The AI companion's memory log
• Emotional state tracking data
• Age verification confirmation flag

This data is entirely under your control. You can delete it at any time using the "Reset Profile" button in the app, or by clearing your browser's local storage through your browser settings.

2b. Chat Messages — Server Processing (Not Stored)

When you send a message, it is transmitted to our server solely to generate an AI response via the Google Gemini API. We do not log, store, or retain the content of your messages on our servers. Server logs contain only technical metadata (error codes, request timestamps) and never the content of your conversations.

Messages you send are processed by Google's Gemini API, which is subject to Google's Gemini API Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

2c. Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics & Google Analytics 4)

We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how users interact with the Service in aggregate. These services collect:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g., app opened, onboarding completed, messages sent)
• General device/browser type and operating system
• Approximate geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)
• Session duration and engagement metrics
• Anonymous user identifiers (randomly generated, not linked to your identity)

We use this data solely to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service. We do not use analytics data to identify individual users.

2d. Advertising Data (Google AdSense — When Enabled)

When advertising is enabled on the Service, Google AdSense may collect data to serve relevant ads, including cookie identifiers and browsing behavior across sites. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and their ad personalization settings.

3. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

• Session storage — Used for the developer access gate. Cleared when your browser session ends.
• Firebase Analytics cookies — Anonymous analytics identifiers that help us measure aggregate usage. These are first-party cookies managed by Firebase.
• Google AdSense cookies (when ads are enabled) — Third-party cookies used by Google to serve and measure advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

5. Data Retention

• Conversation data & preferences — Stored in your browser's localStorage indefinitely until you reset via the "Reset Profile" button or clear your browser storage. We never have access to this data.
• Analytics data — Retained by Firebase/GA4 for up to 14 months per Google's default retention settings.
• Server logs — Technical error logs are retained for up to 30 days and contain no message content.
• Ad interaction data — Managed by Google per their own retention policies.

6. Your Rights — GDPR & CCPA

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right to access — Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to deletion — Request deletion of your personal data. Since your conversation data is stored entirely in your browser, you can delete it instantly using the "Reset Profile" button. For analytics data, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Right to opt out of sale — We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• Right to non-discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
• Right to restrict processing — You can disable analytics cookies via your browser settings or use the Google opt-out tools above.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, HTTP security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options), and server-side rate limiting to protect against abuse. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is strictly intended for users aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from individuals under 21. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information immediately.
